Throne of Atlantis

So DC comics pretty much has some of the best animated movies I've seen.
And Throne of Atlantis seems to be no different. My favorite animated film from DC Comics has to be "Under The Red Hood" aka reasons why Jason Todd is my favorite Robin of all time.

Another reason I'm super excited to watch this film is because Cyborg is in it. Cyborg does not get much screen time and most people only know him from "Teen Titans" or "Teen Titans Go!" (which is super worth watching)

I haven't had time to view this film but as soon as I do I will be posting my thoughts about it!

Discussion Time

It was recently been brought to attention that the actress who plays Sansa Stark in 'Game of Thrones' has been cast as Jean Grey in the 2016 X-Men: Apocalypse film. While Sophie Turner is an amazing actress, my one wish for her role is that she makes me like Jean Grey.

That's right everyone, I cannot stand Jean Grey, While her powers do make her an asset to the team, is it truly needed to have story lines revolving around her? Probably not, and a majority of the X-Men franchise has something to do with Jean Grey, and usually the Phoenix Force is also involved. Take Wolverine and the X-Men, Nickelodeon's cartoon aired in 2009, a mysterious explosion destroys the mansion and mutants, both old and new are being hunted by the MRD (Mutant Response Division). The show's plot revolved around Professor X trying to uncover the truth about what happened and contacting Wolverine in the past to prevent some of the horrible things that have happened.
It wasn't until the three part series finale that we discovered the the massive explosion was caused by Jean Grey and the Phoenix Force to stop a psychic attack by Emma Frost. That's right folks, Jean Grey subconsciously unleashed a huge blast of energy to stop Emma Frost. Seems like overkill to me.

Now maybe it seems wrong not to like her based on that, and you are correct, So here are a couple more reasons for my dislike,

1. Her romantic life. Everyone is familiar about how she pretty flips between Wolverine and Cyclops. It's in a good majority of plot lines. But did you know that was also "dated' Angel? Although it couldn't be considered a date since she brought Cyclops along. Not to mention that both men had to feel confused, but seriously a guy asked you out on a date and you accepted it, only to bring another guy along as well. Not cool.
Someone has mentioned at one point even Professor X may have had feelings for her. He chooses not to act on them, since he believes that is paraplegia would prevent her from returning his feelings.

2. Her personality, In my personal opinion, Jean seems to do what she wants and when she wants. Her character is right even when she's wrong. In uncanny X-men 16, Hank McCoy has to remind her that it's not okay to just read minds. She feels something is so wrong that she needs to invade the personal space of someone's mind to prove her point. ( sounds familiar, Young Justice Season 2) Not to mention that when she is Phoenix, her entire attitude changes. She is all powerful and she knows it.

In conclusion, Jean Grey just rubs me the wrong way. Why does she has so many love interests? Her personality must be appealing, but to have even Professor X fall for her? I need a few more reasons for that? Also, While the Phoenix Force is a plot point that is forever in the series, why is Jean the most worthy? Why not Storm or Rouge? Why does it seem to like telepaths so much? And why does it like Jean Grey the most?

I'd be glad to hear your opinions. If you think I'm wrong tell me! Who can make me like Jean Grey?
Also don't forget that the official podcast is returning on Feb 2nd! hope you'll tune in!

Almost There!

Hey everyone!

In two weeks, the podcast for SupaFi64 will be launching! You should be super hyped and telling all your friends about it! The official launch date is February 2nd! I hope you guys are marking your calenders!

Nerdy topic for today:Fire Emblem

In 2012 Nintendo released Fire Emblem Awakening, which had easily become my game of the year.
For some plot left something to be desired, but for me, the game play is what really caught my attention, not to mention some of the awesome features.

The game have a new features and my favorite feature was the support links,  When in battle having units stand and fight together increased their trust and each character had support links with other characters. Some characters could only be married to the main unit you played, but other could be married to other characters in your party.

The result was babies from the future that would fight alongside to to prevent a horrible timeline.
But if you haven't played it and you own a 3DS system,it is definitely worth a play.
And if you are already a fan of Fire Emblem Awakening, keep an eye out for more information on the newest Fire Emblem title, hopefully due sometime this year.

Remember guys, the first official podcast is February 2nd, Don't miss out!!

Marvel has some goodies this year

So with the new year in full swing, I bet you're looking for something exciting! Currently my Marvel obsession has gotten the best of me. Last year Marvel debuted Agents of Shield season 2. And this year they've debuted Agent Carter.
Now while Agents of Shield (AoS) has a story line that ties in directly with some big box titles (looking at you Captain America 2) Agent Carter focuses on Captain America's romantic interest and shows her as the bad ass woman she is.
Not only do we have season 3 of AoS to look forward too, but plenty of movies as well
The biggest title for this year would have to be Avengers: Age of Ultron due in May! While I'm excited to see some of my favorite heroes and also looking forward to the reboot of the Fantastic 4.
Hopefully they let this cast stick around so I can have a giant crossover movie universe like I want. But before I forget, I'm also super excited that they've decided to go with a not well known hero, Ant-Man! Maybe his movie will open the gateway to a Black Widow and Hawkeye origin movie?

What are you excited to see from Marvel this year?
